Saudi Arabian football giants Al Ahli have officially announced the appointment of German coach Matthias Jaissle as the successor to Pitso Mosimane.

The 35-year-old coach, who joins the club from Red Bull Salzburg, brings an impressive track record, having won back-to-back Austrian League titles and one Austrian Cup during his tenure.

Impressive Record at Red Bull Salzburg

Matthias Jaissle’s coaching prowess became evident during his time at Red Bull Salzburg.

He had a remarkable run, winning 64 out of 92 games in charge, with an average of 2.28 points per game.

His success with the Austrian club caught the attention of Al Ahli, leading to his appointment as the new head coach.

Preferred Choice Despite Initial Challenges

Al Ahli had considered other high-profile names, including Massimilliano Allegri and Marco Silva, as potential candidates for the coaching position.

However, after being turned down by some of their preferred choices, they ultimately settled on Matthias Jaissle. Al Ahli’s CEO, Mr.

Yazan Al-Sharif, expressed his satisfaction with Jaissle’s appointment, emphasizing the coach’s experience and standing in the football world.

Jaissle’s selection aligns with the club’s performance development strategy, recognizing him as one of the finest young coaches globally.
