Eligibility Criteria for Canon Collins Sol Plaatje Scholarships 2024

To be considered for this scholarship, candidates must:

  • Be nationals of or hold refugee status in Namibia, South Africa, or Zimbabwe.
  • Reside normally in one of the above countries.
  • Possess a good first degree (minimum second class, upper division or equivalent) or expect to graduate in the year of application.
  • Plan to study or be in the process of applying for postgraduate study at a South African university.

Scholarship Benefits and Conditions

In 2024, scholarship values will range from R20,000 to R100,000 based on individual student circumstances.

Funding supports both full-time and part-time Masters and PhD programs, including distance learning options.

Scholars are expected to engage in networking activities, attend an annual conference, and contribute to the scholarship community.
