Bhongolwethu Jayiya has shared his honest opinion on why he took a break from football, stating that the sport had become boring for him.
In a recent interview with Far Post, Jayiya stated that once he lost interest in football, there was no point in staying in the game.
Despite this, Jayiya has not ruled out the possibility of returning to professional football if his passion for the game reignites. After being released by Kaizer Chiefs in May 2019, Jayiya expressed his desire to return to playing at a professional level.

During his time at Chiefs, Jayiya made 15 Premier Soccer League appearances and a few Cup appearances but failed to score. This was in contrast to his performance at his former team, Cape Town City, where he scored five goals in 25 top-tier matches during the 2016/17 campaign.
Looking ahead, if Jayiya wishes to return to the game, he will need to focus on his physical fitness ahead of the next transfer window.
