Is It End Of The Road For Khama Billiat This Season?
Khama Billiat, a forward for Kaizer Chiefs, will miss the rest of the season after having surgery to address a groin injury. The injury to the Zimbabwean midfielder occurred before the 2022 FIFA World Cup break. After starting light exercising again a month ago, he made a little progress in his recuperation, but he also made the injury worse. Billiat recently had surgery to address the problem, and he won’t play again this year.
This season, he had made 11 appearances in all leagues, recording three assists but no goals. On the club website, Chiefs physiotherapist David Milner announced the information.
“Khama Billiat, who underwent surgery to repair a torn groin muscle, is the only player on our injury list at the moment”. Milner predicted that he will miss the remainder of the campaign.
After missing all of September due to a knee ailment, Billiat also missed some time this season. Before making a comeback, he missed four games. His omission from the remaining games this season is a huge blow for Kaizer Chiefs and their supporters. As the club strives for the league title, they will need the services of the experienced forward.
The 32–year–old‘s experience will be missed in the closing stages of the campaign, with Kaizer Chiefs in the title race. There‘s no doubt that the loss of Billiat‘s services will be felt by the team, and his return will be welcomed with open arms.
Khama Billiat‘s season has been hampered by injury, but he is expected to make a full recovery before the start of next season. Although his absence will be keenly felt by the team, they will have to soldier on without him. Despite the setback, Kaizer Chiefs have plenty of firepower in their squad to make up for his absence and hopefully secure the league title.
The news of Khama Billiat‘s injury and subsequent surgery is certainly a disappointment, but it‘s expected that he will make a full recovery in time for next season. Although his presence will be missed, Kaizer Chiefs have the firepower needed to compete for the league title without him. With the return of the experienced forward, Kaizer Chiefs will be stronger and ready to challenge for the league title.
