The victory over Cape Town City marked AmaZulu’s second consecutive win of the season. With nine points from six matches, they climbed to fourth place on the DStv Premiership table.

Martin revealed that finishing in fourth place was a mandate from the club’s president, Sandile Zungu, who assumed the role in October 2020. AmaZulu’s current position on the league table aligns with this mandate.

However, despite their position, Martin remains focused on improving the team’s performance and delivering a style of play that brings joy to the fans and himself. He acknowledged that there is still work to be done in reaching their performance goals.
