Former Orlando Pirates striker Tendai Ndoro’s Life After Divorce: From Luxury Cars to Practicing with Zimbabwe’s Top Team

Former Zimbabwean international striker, Tendai Ndoro, has faced a string of setbacks following his divorce from his South African wife Thando Maseko. Ndoro has lost his sprawling mansion and his collection of expensive cars, which were left in his wife’s possession. The tall, lanky attacker is reportedly bankrupt and has been practicing with Zimbabwe’s top football team, Chicken Inn, in a bid to keep himself fit.

Ndoro’s worst mistake was putting his trust in his wife and letting her take ownership of their assets. After a heated argument, Maseko allegedly drove Ndoro out of their mansion in Johannesburg’s wealthy Kyalami Estates. She also assumed exclusive responsibility for the couple’s cars, which she retitled in her own name. Ndoro has been struggling ever since to regain his footing in the football world.

A Talented Striker with a Checkered Past

Ndoro started out with Mpumalanga Black Aces, a South African football club, before moving on to Orlando Pirates, where he quickly became one of the richest Zimbabwean footballers in Limpopo. His talent on the pitch was undeniable, but he also had a checkered past, including an incident in which he played for two clubs in one season, violating FIFA rules. In 2017, he was signed by Al Faisaly of Saudi Arabia for a lucrative fee, but his performance was poor, and he was eventually let go.

Bankrupt and Struggling to Get By

Today, Ndoro is reportedly bankrupt, having lost everything to his former wife after their divorce. He left Highlands Park in May 2020 and has been practicing with Chicken Inn ever since. According to some reports, Ndoro’s traditional law marriage to Maseko was “poison,” and it ultimately led to his financial ruin.

Reaching Out for Help

Despite his struggles, Ndoro has received support from some members of the football community. George Morfou, owner of Mpumalanga Black Aces, has extended a helping hand to Ndoro, and Aston Villa star Marvelous Nakamba gave him some money after a World Cup qualifying match against Ghana. Ndoro’s fans are also rallying behind him, hoping that he can get back on his feet and continue to pursue his passion for football.
