Malajila Praises Ndlovu As Sundowns’ Secret Weapon

Cuthbert Malajila, a former striker for the Zimbabwean national team, has praised Peter “Nsukuzonke” Ndlovu as Mamelodi Sundowns’ unsung hero in the club’s ongoing success. Ndlovu, who previously served as captain and striker for the Sundowns and currently serves as their manager, is seen by Malajila as a key contributor to the club’s triumphs.

However, the former Highlanders and Dynamos striker feels that Ndlovu’s contributions to the club are not getting the recognition they deserve, with most of the credit being attributed to the coaches of the Pretoria-based team.

In an interview with FARPost, Cuthbert Malajila spoke highly of Peter Ndlovu, his former teammate, and current Mamelodi Sundowns manager, saying that he was always available to help and guide new players during his time at the club.

Malajila believes that Ndlovu’s contribution to the team is not receiving enough credit, with most of the praise going to the coaches.

Malajila stated to FARPost, “I was there. I learned a lot. He [Peter Ndlovu] was always there to lend a helping hand, especially to new players. He helped many players settle in. It’s not a secret that there is intense competition at the club. One has to fight hard to be in the team.”

Malajila also praised Ndlovu’s work ethic and personality, stating, “Peter’s work speaks for itself. Ask any current or former Sundowns player. He has been smooth and has remained grounded. He is excellent at what he does. I believe he is one of the unsung heroes on the team at the moment. The team is doing well, and it is a good reflection of the work being put in by everyone.”

Peter Ndlovu, known as Nsukuzonke, is a member of Rulani Mokwena’s technical team at Mamelodi Sundowns, serving as the manager. Alongside his former teammate Esrom Nyandoro, Ndlovu also works as a scout for the Tshwane giants.

Ndlovu was appointed as team manager back in July 2013 during the tenure of former coach Pitso Mosimane. Since then, Sundowns have enjoyed a successful period, winning numerous championship titles and domestic cups, as well as continental trophies under Ndlovu’s leadership.
