Cassius Mailula, who destroyed Orlando Pirates, is not yet perfect, according to Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rhulani Mokwena.

Sundowns has benefited greatly from Mailula as he scored the winning goal against Pirates on Saturday. Mokwena clarifies Mailula’s flaws.

Mailula, a 21-year-old Sundowns player, has been outstanding, and on Saturday against Pirates, he scored the game’s only goal.

Despite his impact, Mokwena maintains that the child still has much to learn and that the more games he plays, the more proficient he will become.

The strategist insisted that he is proud of the attacker, but he was unable to downplay Mailula’s importance to the club.

“Throughout the entire 90 minutes, he should focus on the contributions rather than the goal. There is significant room for improvement in decision making,” Mokwena told the media.

Mailula is still a very young player, and there is still much coaching to be done. However, as I stated a few weeks ago, offensive players must develop by playing in different circumstances and getting better,” Mokwena added.

“We are all very proud of the squad and of him, but there is still much room for improvement”.

The teenage forward acknowledged he needs to make many changes in order to play football at a higher level.

The winger is utilizing areas of his game besides goal scoring that will benefit the Brazilians as a whole.

Mailula has participated in 12 Premier Soccer League games this season, recording seven goals and three assists.

He is only two goals behind his colleague and current leading scorer, Peter Shalulile. The other candidates for the Golden Boot are Chippa United’s Ighodaro Godspower, Bradley Grobler of Mamelodi Sundowns, and Kaizer Chiefs’ Caleb-Bonfils Bimenyimana.
