Former CAPS United defender Marshall Machazane has made the transition into coaching, securing his first role as an assistant coach for youth teams at the Real Betis Academy. Machazane’s appointment was confirmed in a statement by the academy, where he will also serve as the Strength & Conditioning coach.

Machazane’s coaching career received a significant boost earlier this month when he participated in an exchange programme at FC Barcelona in Spain. The experience would have exposed him to different coaching methodologies, techniques, and practices used by one of the world’s most successful football clubs.

Machazane holds a ZIFA Level One Coaching Certificate and is studying different coaching programmes with the International Sports Science Association. His dedication to pursuing additional coaching qualifications and certificates shows his commitment to his new career.
