Zimbabwean football sensation Knowledge Musona, who currently plays as a left winger or forward for Al-Tai in the Saudi Professional League, has enjoyed an impressive career thus far, with stints in South Africa, Belgium, and Germany. As captain of the Zimbabwe national team, he has demonstrated leadership and exceptional skill on the field.

Musona’s club career kicked off with a memorable debut for Hoffenheim, coming on as a substitute in their 3-1 victory over SC Freiburg. He netted his first goal during a 2-1 DFB-Pokal win against Köln on October 25, 2011. The following year, he joined Augsburg on a one-year loan.

In July 2013, Musona returned to South Africa, joining Kaizer Chiefs on loan. During his time there, he scored eight goals in 19 league appearances, including a critical goal that propelled the Chiefs into the Nedbank Cup’s last 16. He also scored a hat trick in a 3-0 victory over Liga Muculmana in the first round, the second leg of the CAF Champions League. Despite suffering an ankle sprain, Musona finished the season with 16 goals in 25 starts across all competitions.

After garnering interest from clubs in Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands, Musona began training with La Liga side Granada in August 2014. Later that year, he signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Belgian club Oostende. His Belgian Pro League debut ended in a 7-1 defeat to K.V. Kortrijk, but he soon found his footing, scoring his first competitive goal for Oostende.

Musona joined fellow player Andile Jali at the club and made his Belgian Pro League debut on January 17, 2015, in a 7-1 home loss to K.V. Kortrijk. He was substituted in the 67th minute, with Fernando Canesin taking his place. Paschalis Tountouris, Knowledge Musona’s agent, expressed that the move to the Belgian club was the perfect opportunity to rejuvenate his career.

Musona netted his first competitive goal for the club on February 21, 2015, during a 3-1 home defeat against Charleroi. The goal, which came in the 77th minute, was assisted by Elimane Coulibaly.

In May 2018, Musona signed a four-year deal with RSC Anderlecht following interest from another Belgian team, Standard Liège. He made his league debut for Anderlecht on the season’s opening day, replacing Landry Dimata in the 86th minute of their 4-1 away win over K.V. Kortrijk.

On August 26, 2018, Musona scored his first competitive goal for Anderlecht in a 2-1 away loss to Club Brugge. Ivan Santini assisted the 19th-minute goal, which equalized the score at 1-1.

In January 2019, Musona secured a loan move to Lokeren for the remainder of the 2018-19 season. He made his league debut for the club on January 19, 2019, playing the full 90 minutes in a 4-1 away loss against Eupen.

Musona sidelined due to chickenpox -

Musona found the back of the net for the first time in Lokeren colors on February 9, 2019, during a 2-1 home triumph over Royal Antwerp. Assisted by Marko Mirić, his goal came in the 32nd minute of the match.
