Key Players Missing: Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo and Lebohang Maboe Out for DStv Premiership Clash
Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns face the absence of Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo and Lebohang Maboe in the upcoming DStv Premiership showdown.
Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo’s Suspension
Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, the Orlando Pirates midfielder, is set to sit out the crucial game against Sundowns due to suspension.
His absence stems from accumulating four yellow cards over the course of recent matches.
Ndlondlo began the season impressively, making notable contributions to his team’s performance.
He kicked off the season by providing two assists in a DStv Premiership clash against Royal AM. Additionally, he scored his first goal of the campaign against Sekhukhune United.
However, Ndlondlo’s four yellow cards led to his suspension. His cautionary tale began with the first yellow card during the Royal AM match.
Subsequently, he received two more in quick succession, one against Babina Noko in the MTN8 quarter-final, and another in a 1-1 draw with Chippa United.
The final yellow card was brandished during the MTN8 semi-final first leg against Stellenbosch FC.
Lebohang Maboe’s Red Card
On the other side, Mamelodi Sundowns will be without the versatile winger Lebohang Maboe in the upcoming clash.
Maboe, who had limited playing time this season, entered as a substitute during Sundowns’ 1-0 victory over Richards Bay.
Unfortunately, his time on the field was short-lived as he received a straight red card in just five minutes.
Maboe’s red card resulted from a reckless tackle that left the referee with no alternative but to send him off.
This setback means he will need to start anew in his quest to regain a spot in the team.
Another player facing suspension for the midweek DStv Premiership matches is Thabo Moloisane of Stellenbosch FC.
Moloisane’s suspension comes after being sent off during the MTN8 semi-final first leg against Orlando Pirates.
The absence of these key players adds an element of unpredictability to the upcoming clash, as both teams strive to secure a victory in the highly competitive DStv Premiership.
