Ndah On the Move? Italian Club Eyeing Orlando Pirates Defender
Orlando Pirates defender Olisa Ndah, a Nigeria international, has caught the eye of a Serie A club, according to his agent Mike Makaab. The 25-year-old center-back was targeted by Sassuolo during the January transfer window, but the move fell through due to an injury sustained by the player.
Despite Sassuolo’s keen interest in the dreadlocked defender, Ndah missed Nigeria’s November 2022 international friendly matches against Costa Rica and Portugal’s national team as he was still recovering from the injury. As a result, Sassuolo was unable to sign Ndah, who joined Pirates at the beginning of last season.

According to his agent Mike Makaab, Orlando Pirates defender Olisa Ndah received early interest from an Italian club but was unable to make the move due to injury. Ndah’s status as a Nigeria international has kept him in the spotlight, and Pirates have been commended for securing his services.
After recovering from injury, Ndah returned to action in the Soweto Derby but unfortunately scored an own goal. However, he will be looking to bounce back and cement his position in the Pirates’ defense, as well as earn a call-up for Nigeria’s AFCON Qualifier squad. Strong performances could attract further interest from Sassuolo or other overseas clubs in the next transfer window.
