Richards Bay coach Kaitano Tembo expressed his frustration as his team failed to capitalize on their recent victory over Moroka Swallows.

Time Constraints and Travel
Tembo highlighted the challenges his team faced, emphasizing the lack of preparation time.
He attributed this to the demanding travel schedule, as the team had to travel from Johannesburg to Durban and then to Richards Bay for their matches.
According to Tembo, the tight schedule took a toll on the team’s freshness and performance.

Despite the loss, Richards Bay remains in the second-to-last position in the league, with five points from seven matches, holding a five-point lead over Cape Town Spurs.
Tembo acknowledged that while it’s advantageous that Spurs are also facing difficulties, his team should focus on their own performance rather than relying on their competitors’ struggles.
Self-Reflection and Improvement
Tembo stressed the importance of self-assessment and improvement. He emphasized that the team should not solely depend on the misfortunes of other teams but instead focus on enhancing their own performance.
Tembo believes that, based on their style of play, Richards Bay should be achieving better results than their current standings suggest.
