Richards Bay tactician, Pitso Dladla, has provided his opinion on why it was difficult for Kaizer Chiefs to score more goals during their recent match against his team.

According to quotes from Far Post, Dladla believes that if Chiefs had been more patient with their build-ups and played passes to make the field bigger, Richards Bay would have struggled with their numerical disadvantage.

Christian Saile Basomboli

Looking at the bigger picture, Burundi international Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana has faced a tough start to the season, struggling to score goals and even being booed by some fans during the narrow win against Richards Bay.

Christian Saile Basomboli was brought in by Kaizer Chiefs to boost their goal-scoring ability. However, despite playing in five matches in the Premier Soccer League campaign so far, he is yet to find the back of the net. This is a major worry for Chiefs, who are aiming to qualify for the CAF Champions League next season and also win the Nedbank Cup.

Looking ahead, Chiefs’ coach, Stuart Baxter, will need to work on sharpening his attacking options ahead of their upcoming Nedbank Cup match against Casic Stars this weekend.
