Simba Bhora Chooses Temporary Home Venue for Premier Soccer League Resumption

Premiership debutants Simba Bhora have made a crucial decision regarding their temporary home venue as the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League prepares to resume on July 1. With the National Sports Stadium undergoing renovations and being restricted to hosting only two games per week, the team had to explore alternative options.

Simba Bhora, one of the eight teams that utilized the 60,000-seater National Sports Stadium while awaiting completion of their own home ground, Wadzanai Stadium in Shamva, has now identified two potential temporary venues. The team’s spokesperson, Charles Nyatsine, confirmed their decision, stating,

“There are plans to get an alternative venue as directed. Our first option is Baobab, and our second option is Bata.”

The Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) compelled clubs previously using the National Sports Stadium to find alternative venues due to the limitations imposed on the facility. With a minimum of four matches per week previously being hosted there, the league’s suspension provided an opportunity for renovations to take place.

The announcement of Simba Bhora’s choice comes amidst reports that Morris Depot will be one of the venues designated to host PSL matches upon the league’s resumption. This decision will allow the team to have a temporary home where they can continue their pursuit of success in the premier league.
