After 23 games played, a total of 387 goals have been scored in 184 matches in the DStv Premiership this season. This averages out to 2.1 goals per game.
The Top Five Teams
1. Mamelodi Sundowns – 45 goals
Mamelodi Sundowns – 45 goalsSundowns are comfortably leading the pack with 45 goals scored so far this season, which accounts for 11.6% of all the goals scored in the league. Peter Shalulile has been the top scorer for the Brazilians with 11 goals, while Cassius Mailula is not far behind with nine goals. Neo Maema has contributed five goals, and Haashim Domingo has three goals. In addition, Themba Zwane, Mothobi Mvala, Marcelo Allende, and Abubeker Nasir have all scored twice, while seven other players have each scored once.
2. SuperSport United – 28 goals
SuperSport United are in second place with 28 goals, but coach Gavin Hunt will be disappointed with this tally.
